    Responsibilities

    The Supply Chain Analyst reports to the Transportation Manager and supports the overall responsibility for the company's supply chain activity with a focus on transportation. This will include maintaining associated databaess and models, coordinating customer and transportation activity, working across departments to understand and resolve shipment and payment / claims issues, and serving as a point of communication for Royal Cup Coffee management, carriers, and 3PL business partners.

     

    The Supply Chain Analyst will assist the Transportation Manager and SVP of Supply Chain in implementing strategies to maximize service levels while minimizing costs. This may include, analysis and recommendation of the best modes of transport, tracking Key Performance Measures of transportation carriers and assisting in their management, costing of inbound and outbound product, technological enhancements, managing equipment condition and availability, and supporting implementation of Supply Chain initiatives.

     

    The Supply Chain Analyst has the following essential duties and areas of responsibility:

     

    • Utilize metrics to drive continuous improvement with respect to transportation costs and carrier performance
    • Assist in managing inbound and outbound shipment scheduling and tracking
    • Work with Route Territory Managers to ensure carrier service levels are met
    • Prepare and execute carrier freight claims
    • Invoice reconciliation
    • Maintain and update carrier and delivery information database
    • Support management of dedicated carrier arrangements
    • Complete required shipment tracking for Commercial Accounts
    • Assist in planning and executing Supply Chain initiatives such as LTO’s, product code transitions, Inventory performance tracking and management, e

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of High School Diploma and/or equivalent (i.e. GED), Trade School or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
    • Strong computer skills - intermediate / advanced level Excel and Word
    • SAP experience highly preferred
    • Ability to successfully complete the pre-employment process.
    • Strong analytical skills and a clear strategic and systematic thinker with ability to execute
    • Demonstrated strong project management and organizational skills
    • Prior Transportation Management System experience preferred
    • Experience in supplier negotiations and ongoing supplier performance management helpful
