The Liquid Manufacturing QA Technician (LMQA Technician) reports to the LMQA Manager and will continue to strive for the highest of quality standards for all parts of the product cycle in a food grade manufacturing facility.  The LMQA Technician works an 8-hour day shift, but must be flexible to overtime dependent of production requirements.  The ideal candidate will be experienced in food manufacturing, have solid understanding of all Safety & Food Safety Requirements and be tenured in quality assurance controls/testing procedures. The follow are responsibilities including, but is not limited to:

  • Equipment Operation / Testing / Maintenance:
    • Exhibit safe, efficient and proper operation of the following technical lab testing tools: refractometer, scales, pH meter, thermometer, and various brewing equipment.
    • Understand quality control and routine testing processes for lab testing tools including tool calibrations.
  • Product Sampling:
    • Read and understand Operations paperwork and verify completion.
    • Assist with the periodic sampling process, according to the sample retention program, by pulling product samples in process from the production floor.
    • Evaluate coffee samples according to desired specifications including sensory analysis, seal integrity, raw materials, ingredients, and critical control points. This will at times include shipping samples to external third parties for evaluation.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Understand how to document and file proper paperwork.
    • Properly follow the HOLD program and enter information into HOLD logbook.
    • Verify and document code dating is correct and legible throughout production
    • Understand and assist in SQF related activities.
  • Management & Communication:
    • Exhibit adherence to all Safety & Food Safety Requirements as well as all Royal Cup rules and policies.
  • Always be mindful of and adhere to GMP’s, Quality and Food Safety requirements.

  • Minimum of High School Diploma and/or equivalent (i.e. GED).
  • Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment is highly preferable including HACCP certification.
  • Basic Reading, Writing, Mathematical & Computer Skills:
    • Ability to read, write and interpret specification sheets and other correspondence. 
    • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations: add, subtract, multiply and divide.
    • Ability to operate basic office equipment: telephone system, desktop computers, fax and copy machines.
    • Beyond basic abilities with Microsoft Office Software, specifically with Word and Excel.
    • Capabilities required to UPS or FedEx packages.
