Reporting directly to the SVP & Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”), the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will provide business analysis, forecasting, budgeting and metric reporting that supports the overall strategic direction of the Company. Key responsibilities of the position include:

  • Contribute to the re-design and development of a Key Performance Indicator (“KPI”) package for the Company.
    • Certain key metrics will be daily, weekly, mid-month or monthly.
    • Ultimately, an automated sales, operational and financial real-time dashboard to deliver “flash” reporting to key stakeholders of the business in a Business Intelligence (BI) tool.
  • Contribute to the forecast process of the Company with a goal of achieving a rolling 13-period forecast.
    • Drive the collection and roll-up of field data from the Sales organization to support the top-line forecast.
    • Analysis of certain expense categories significantly impacting EBITDA.
    • Development of financial modeling, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and other financial metrics.
  • Contribute to the development of the annual operating plan and budget.
    • Analysis of sales, expenses (production/plant costs and other expenses) and headcount to support the overall budget process.
  • Maintain and improve the Company’s rolling 13-week cash flow forecast to manage working capital.
  • Heavily involved in development of product and customer profitability analysis, including standard costing and related manufacturing variance analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of a business intelligence report consisting of financial and operational information of competitors, other roaster and coffee companies and external economic data and trends impacting the business.
  • Contribute to the analytics and support of the Pricing function to help drive margin improvement across the Company.
  • Support the CFO in the analysis and evaluation of prospective acquisition opportunities
    • Contribute to the development of pro-forma financial models and recognition of synergies
  • Contribute to the annual strategic planning process by serving as a resource to all involved parties.
  • Work with the Controller on various financial analysis projects and the internal and external monthly and quarterly financial review package and bank reporting.
  • Serve as an analytical resource to the Executive Team of the Company, which includes the CEO, Sales, Distribution, HR, Manufacturing, Marketing and Green Coffee.




  • Accomplished financial professional with a minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, modeling and managing large amounts of data.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degrees with a major in Finance, Business or Accounting.
  • Experience with financial systems, SAP, SQL database systems and BI tools/systems (Hyperion, Cognos, others, etc.) is strongly preferred.
  • Additional experience in corporate accounting or investment banking, referred.
  • Proven advanced financial skills, strong analytical skills, and ability to make sound business recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills – inclusive of presentation skills and ability to build relationships with employees, leadership, the board, and external business associates at any level.
  • Ability to work with and support others in a positive way.
  • Ability to successfully complete the pre-employment process.
