The Warehouseperson/Warehouse Order Selector reports to the Market Manager. Warehouseperson/Warehouse Order Selectors will work more or less than 40 hours a week which could  mean 8 hours or more a day as needed to meet demand.  An individual must be able to work within that structure.


The Warehouseperson/Warehouse Order Selector has the following essential duties and areas of responsibility:

  • Receiving Product:
    • Physically receive all inbound product, ensuring the correct items are received in the correct quantities, and properly put it away in the warehouse.
    • This will include manually breaking down pallets and putting items away in their designated locations throughout the warehouse
  • Monitor/Manage Inbound Product Quality:
    • Ensure inbound product is within quality guidelines and undamaged.
    • Ensure any issues are addressed and documented before receipt.
  • Pulling / Selecting Sales Orders:
    • Obtain the sales order print out.
    • Operate a powered pallet jack to “shop” the warehouse and select the appropriate items from storage.
    • Build well organized, stable custom pallets of product for order fulfillment.
  • Maintaining Housekeeping / Sanitation & Safety:
    • Maintain to standard, keeping warehouse “tour ready” at all times.
    • Maintain operation of any warehouse equipment in compliance with company safety policies.
  • Put away / Replenish:
    • Safely and efficiently operate a pallet jack to move materials in and out of the racking.
  • Other duties as assigned. This may include temporary reassignment to loading, unloading, receiving, product rotation, etc.

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent (ie. GED).  
  • 2-4 years industrial warehouse experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work self-directed without requiring specific assignments each day. Includes using time wisely all day, every day.
  • Willingness to “own” the position to drive for performance results vs. just completing tasks.
  • Strict adherence to all warehouse processes, operating procedures, and rules. Along with a willingness to hold others accountable to them.
  • Strong detail, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn, master, and properly use required computer programs including Excel, email, Microsoft Word, and wireless scanners/printers.
  • Must maintain quality controls:
    • Accurately select cases to achieve a minimum of 99.5% accuracy.
  • Must have basic reasoning abilities, to include:
    • Applying common sense in carrying out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
    • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Ability to read the sales order and plan how it will be pulled so pallets will be stable with no product damage.
  • Ability beyond basic skill performance levels with reading, writing, mathematical and computer functions, to include:
    • Ability to read, write and interpret basic correspondence, including sales order sheets, machine operating instructions, safety instructions and any training materials (including safety instructions for forklifts and handjacks).
    • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations: add, subtract and multiply using units of American currency and weight measurement, volume and distance.
    • Ability to operate basic office equipment: telephone system, desktop computers, fax and copy machines.
    • Basic inputs via keyboard and bar code scans into computer system.
    • Basic abilities with Microsoft Office Software, specifically with Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work with and support others in a positive way.  While much of the work will be done alone, working well within a team is required.
  • Strict adherence to all warehouse processes, operating procedures, rules, and company policies.
  • Ability to successfully complete the pre-employment process.




  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the position which, at times, are required to successfully perform each essential responsibility.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the core responsibilities.  These physical demands may include, among other functions:
    • The ability to safely climb up and down and walk for extended periods of time.
    • The ability to use hand tools.
    • The ability to push or pull product on a hand truck up to 20lbs of force, and lift product up to 47lbs repeated through the shift.
    • The ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, squat and other movements as needed to stack boxes or to retrieve product from shelf.
    • The ability to reach up to 81’’ to access equipment or product, and balance and carry product up to 35lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
